The Daryl Dixon final season now has a premiere month. AMC has set February 2027 for the fourth and last run of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, and star Norman Reedus is warning fans to brace for an emotional finish.
Reedus said the last season gets “way sadder,” according to Complex, which reported his comments from New York Comic Con. Speaking to UPI at the convention alongside co-star Melissa McBride, he said filming the final scenes felt like an accomplishment and that the team told the story they were trying to tell.
What to expect from the Daryl Dixon final season
The season follows Daryl and Carol through Spain as genetically altered walkers move south from France. Jimmy Smits joins the cast as Captain Alejandro Perkins. Franchise chief Scott M. Gimple also told reporters that a reunion between Daryl and Rick Grimes remains “absolutely, still a hope.”
A new teaser arrived Friday alongside the date announcement, according to Bleeding Cool.
AMC also announced on Oct. 9 that every season of The Walking Dead franchise’s flagship series will be available on AMC+ for the first time, starting Jan. 7.
