George Clooney is opening a restaurant in Provence. The Italian restaurant will sit in Cotignac, a village of about 2,000 people in southern France, where the actor and his family moved in December. The opening is planned for spring 2027, according to la Repubblica.
The restaurant will take over 11 Cours Gambetta, the former home of Les 3 Marches, and renovation work is already under way, French outlet Closer reported. Clooney is partnering with Canadian Graham Porter, who owns the nearby Lou Calen hotel. The local daily Var-Matin broke the news, and Cotignac’s mayor, Jean-Pierre Veran, confirmed it, per la Repubblica.
Between Lake Como and Provence
An Italian menu in a French village fits Clooney’s two homes. He has kept Villa Oleandra on Lake Como for 24 years, and he and his wife, Amal Clooney, are raising their nine-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, in France. At the Venice Film Festival this year, where he received the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement, Clooney said he will keep acting but is not planning to direct for now so he can spend time with the twins.
No menu, chef or exact opening date has been announced yet.
