Ben Barnes and Aubrey Cleland have confirmed their marriage, sharing wedding photographs and a joint Instagram announcement on October 14. “We got married!” their caption began, before Barnes paid tribute to his new wife and called himself a “proud husband.”
The announcement follows earlier reporting about the couple’s Oregon wedding. Just Jared reports that the post was tagged at Chateau de Lis in Oregon City and credited photographer Naba Zabih. TV Insider also covered Barnes’s message and the photographs from the celebration.
Ben Barnes calls himself a “proud husband”
The Chronicles of Narnia and Shadow and Bone actor focused his message on the connection he shares with Cleland. He wrote about finding someone who matches his “sense of humour, curiosity and humanity,” and with whom he can be himself.
He described his wife as a woman of “rare grace, kindness and beauty,” adding that she makes the world feel “both bigger and more like home.” The couple closed their announcement by saying they were happy and excited for what comes next, signing it “Ben & Aubrey.”
The fresh development is their own public confirmation and the wedding images. It is not an announcement that the ceremony happened on October 14.
Who is Aubrey Cleland?
Cleland is a singer and actress who reached the semifinals of American Idol Season 12. TV Insider describes her as an Oregon native with an interest in abstract painting as well as music and acting.
The couple have also collaborated creatively. Cleland appeared in Barnes’s “Nevermind” music video, released in December 2024, and joined him onstage in Oregon in January 2025 for “One Minute More,” a duet from his album Where the Light Gets In.
