Machine Gun Kelly Denies Viral Post Claiming He Regrets Losing Megan Fox

Machine Gun Kelly has denied writing a viral post claiming he regrets “fumbling” Megan Fox. The musician responded after a screenshot bearing his X handle circulated alongside photos of the former couple, according to People and E! News.

What Machine Gun Kelly said about the Megan Fox post

In an Oct. 13 reply on X, MGK called the tweet fake, E! reports. His response rejected the screenshot’s claim that he had published an emotional message about their breakup.

The circulating post said he regretted losing Fox and could not forgive himself. Both outlets describe those words as a message falsely attributed to him, not a new confession from the musician. A screenshot carrying someone’s handle does not, by itself, establish that they wrote it.

People reports that the original post sharing the screenshot appeared on Oct. 12. The story is MGK’s denial of that message, not evidence of a change in the former couple’s relationship.

Where their relationship stands

Fox and MGK split in late 2024 and now co-parent their daughter, who was born in March 2025, according to both reports. The two met while filming “Midnight in the Switchgrass” in 2020 and became engaged in January 2022, People notes.

E! reports that MGK also pushed back on reconciliation speculation earlier this year. His response to the latest screenshot did not announce a reunion.

What he has actually said about Fox

Separate from the fabricated message, MGK has publicly praised Fox. E! quotes him describing her on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” in 2025 as “the greatest partner to have had a child with.”

Both outlets also recall his comments on “Today,” where he redirected praise for his parenting toward Fox, saying she does the work of raising their daughter. Those remarks should not be confused with the viral breakup-regret screenshot he has now rejected.
