No one has been named to headline the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show yet, and the wait is turning into a story of its own. Searches for the Super Bowl halftime show 2027 jumped in the past few hours, and the NFL has not announced a performer for Super Bowl LXI, according to NorthJersey.com, part of the USA Today Network.
Is the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show performer announced?
No. The game is set for Feb. 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, and it will air on ABC and ESPN and stream on Disney+, per NorthJersey.com. Recent headliners were usually revealed in September. Kendrick Lamar was announced on Sept. 8, 2024, and Bad Bunny on Sept. 28, 2025. Cincinnati.com notes that six of the last seven performers were named in September, so this year is running behind. The one later reveal was The Weeknd, who was announced on Nov. 12, 2020, for the 2021 game.
Who is rumored to be performing?
Nothing here is confirmed. Prediction markets and fan chatter have centered on Miley Cyrus, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Justin Bieber and Harry Styles, NorthJersey.com reports. WDTN says Cyrus, who now goes by Miley, is the biggest name in the mix after an unverified image, said to be a leaked Apple Music announcement, was posted and then deleted. Cincinnati.com says no one has confirmed that image.
Cyrus added to the buzz on Oct. 6 with a photo captioned “Bowl rehearsals. See you soon.” Cincinnati.com reports fans later tied that post to her two Hollywood Bowl shows on Oct. 16 and 18, not the Super Bowl.
TMZ reported in September, citing unnamed sources, that Styles and Bieber were “on Roc Nation’s short list” but unlikely to take the job if asked, per both Cincinnati.com and WDTN. Those are unconfirmed claims.
Will it be announced on Dancing With the Stars?
NorthJersey.com calls that unlikely, though ABC and ESPN carry the game and Tuesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars” had a Super Bowl theme with ESPN’s Joe Buck as guest judge. No reveal was scheduled. We covered that night in our Super Bowl Night lineup report and the elimination recap.
Who picks the halftime performer?
