Conor Kennedy Marries Brazilian Pop Star Giulia Be in a Three-Day Rio Wedding

Conor Kennedy, the son of Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., has married Brazilian pop singer Giulia Be in a three-day celebration in Rio de Janeiro, according to People, Town & Country and Vogue. The celebration ran from Thursday, Oct. 8, to Saturday, Oct. 10, and the couple had reportedly already married in a smaller legal ceremony in Los Angeles earlier this year.

How the weekend went

People reports that the couple began the multi-day celebration on Friday, Oct. 9, with a blessing at Christ the Redeemer. Town & Country adds that a welcome party was held the evening before at the Mansao do Alto, and that the blessing took place on Corcovado Mountain beneath the statue.

On Saturday, Oct. 10, they held their religious wedding at a historic church in central Rio, which Town & Country names as Igreja Nossa Senhora do Carmo da Antiga Se. People says the reception followed at a historic mansion in the Jardim Botanico neighborhood. Town & Country names the reception venue as the Instituto Brando Barbosa.

Who was there

People says several hundred guests attended, including RFK Jr. and his wife, actress Cheryl Hines. Town & Country quotes The New York Times as reporting that the guest list was kept secret but included Kennedy family members and many well-known Brazilian artists, influencers and designers.

What the bride said

Be, 27, told Vogue before the wedding that her Calvin Klein gown for the blessing was “a dream come true.” Vogue’s headline also credits a second custom look by Harris Reed. She joked about her groom’s reaction: “I’ve also never seen him cry and we’ve been together for almost five years, so I think my only chance is the element of surprise.”

Explaining why the wedding was in Rio, she told a Brazilian outlet, as quoted by People and Town & Country: “My love, I love you, but I’m not getting married in Massachusetts.” She said it was her chance to bring his family and friends to Brazil.

How they met

Vogue says Kennedy’s sister Kyra introduced the two virtually in 2021 and that they met in person in California in 2022. Kennedy, 32, an attorney, proposed in August 2024 at their new home in Los Angeles. Town & Country says they started dating in 2022.
