Sean “Diddy” Combs Taken to Hospital With Head Injury, Release Date Pushed to March 2028

Sean “Diddy” Combs was taken from a federal prison in New Jersey to a hospital with a head injury early Saturday, according to reports from TMZ, Page Six and Deadline. Deadline also reports that his release date has been pushed back by almost two months.

What was reported about the hospital trip

TMZ, which broke the story, said an ambulance left FCI Fort Dix around 1 a.m. ET on October 10. Its sources said the injury was not life-threatening and that Combs was conscious and speaking. Page Six, citing TMZ, reported the same details. Deadline said it confirmed the hospital trip and was told Combs returned to Fort Dix late Saturday.

How he was hurt is still unclear. Deadline said the Bureau of Prisons did not respond to its request for information on his medical status. Combs’ representative, Juda Engelmayer, told Deadline: “We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances. Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern.”

Release date moved to March 2028

Deadline reports that Combs, 56, now has a scheduled release date of March 2, 2028. It had most recently been January 21, 2028. The outlet said the change follows a sanction of more than 40 days, after Bureau of Prisons sources told it earlier this month that he would face “serious consequences” over claims that he had a smartphone and other items at the facility. TMZ also reported that he was placed in a special housing unit amid those claims.

Combs was sentenced in September 2025 to 50 months after a New York jury convicted him in July 2025 on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. He was found not guilty of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.

The reports say the situation is still developing. We will update this story when officials or his representatives share more.
