Matthew Lowe, the oldest son of actor Rob Lowe, married Emily Markus in Santa Barbara, California, on Saturday, October 10. Gwyneth Paltrow officiated the ceremony, according to exclusive photos and reporting from Page Six.
The guest list was crowded with famous names. Page Six listed Cameron Diaz, Adam Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo, Katy Perry, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Maria Shriver among those in attendance. Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian were also seated in the audience. Rob Lowe, his wife of 35 years, Sheryl Berkoff, and their younger son, John Owen Lowe, sat in the front row.
A wedding weeks after a family loss
The wedding came less than two weeks after the death of Fiona Lowe, the 13-year-old daughter of Rob Lowe’s brother, Chad Lowe. Her family described her to Page Six as “smart, creative” and someone who “loved to dance,” and asked for prayers and privacy. Page Six reported the ceremony took place at a private residence.
Matthew Lowe is 33. Markus posted a sunset photo of the rehearsal-weekend setup at a local Santa Barbara restaurant the night before, writing, “It’s wedding weekend eve!”
